Write a letter to your sponsored child this month! If it’s been a while since you have heard from your sponsored child or since you have written a letter, I would encourage you to write a letter sometime before the end of this month.

This month’s topic: School!

Tell your sponsored child about:

  • A favorite teacher and why
  • Best subject and worst subject in school
  • Extracurricular activities that you took part in
  • A timeline of when woke up to get to school, how got to school, how long school lasted each day
  • About friends in school
  • If you went to college – what helped you make that decision?

Encourage your child

  • to study and learn
  • to be disciplined even at the subjects he/she is not good at
  • make good choices about friends in school
  • ask questions/ be a good listener
  • to read

Ask your child

  • who is your favorite teacher?
  • what time do you wake up for school?
  • how long does it take to walk to/from school?
  •  how many students are in the class?
  • is there just one teacher for the entire day or is it broken into subjects?
